Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American actress and musician. She began by releasing humorous, cleverly written rap songs that addressed topics like race as well as sexuality. Later, she broadened her audience to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was Nora's first instrument. Then, she started hip-hop and classical training. In her studies, she majored in journalism, and women's studies at college, even learning Mandarin in Beijing for a time. The focus changed towards music after she finished her studies. Her song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in 2012. It was eventually included on her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. On the album, there also were viral songs like Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$. The single that debuted was specifically linked to Awkwafinas NYC, her travel guide for 2015. After having a great career as a performer and songwriter, she chose to assume the character of actress. She's appeared in movies like Neighbors 2 Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed a series of notable roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP, In Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
