Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937, who died 19 January 2008 was an American film theatre, television as well as voice actress. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and was featured in films in the late 1950s. Later, she was an important actor in films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). In later years, she was a part of many television productions and was often acting as a guest. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, from 1972 until 1978, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette is the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1] and Eugene Pleshette, was born on January 31, 1937, in Brooklyn Heights. The parents of her were Jewish as were the descendants of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage director for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
